Design our new Brothers Trust Mug

You may already know, that we Hollands love our tea. Every Brothers Trust meeting relies heavily on mugs of tea but it can’t be from any old mug. And this is where you guys come in…

The Brothers Trust are calling on all budding artists amongst you, to design our first Brothers Trust mug. The winning design will be reproduced onto a fine bone china mug (Made in England) and the winning artist will be credited on the bottom of our beautiful mug.

Mugs that will be sold and used all over the world, with all profits going to a small charity called - Alex’s Wish - established to eradicate Duchenne, an aggressive form of Muscular Dystrophy that affects 1 in every 3,500 boys. A life limiting condition with every muscle being eventually destroyed due to a lack of a single protein, including the lungs and the heart.

What you need to do

First of all you need to download our design template.

Your design can cover the whole template or maybe just be a simple motif that can be repeated front and back. It is up to you. You can also include the handle and the inside rim of the mug. For inspiration, take a look at some of our manufacturers designs here.

The winning design is likely to use no more than 5 or 6 colours.

You can design digitally in Photoshop/Illustrator or onto paper which will then need to be scanned and uploaded. Either way, your submission will need to be a file or a scan at 600dpi.

Please send your design to our dedicated inbox design@thebrotherstrust.org by 1st November 2020.

Obviously there can only be one lucky winner in this competition and this means that your odds are small. But we want to stress the community elements and advantages of this campaign. By becoming involved and participating in this campaign, you are supporting The Brothers Trust. We hope you will enjoy completing your designs and are excited for the beautiful mugs ahead and the help that we can provide to Alex’s Wish.

Thank you and good luck.
